Catalogue Years and University Studies
General Information and Policies
- Freshmen and Re-enrollees are not granted the exception back one-level for General Education Requirements, even if they attended a North Carolina Community College.
- Only Transfers who attended a North Carolina Community College can receive the exception back one-level for General Education Requirements, and only for 2011 - 2012 and 2012 - 2013 catalogue years. The idea was that they would have been advised what transfers from a North Carolina Community College based on the existing UNCW General Education Requirements.
- Student type (Freshman, Transfer, Re-enrollee) is defined in Banner on the SGASTDN screen. On the same screen, catalogue year, history, and status (ex: Academically Ineligible) can be viewed. For questions, contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@uncw.edu.
- Any transfer or continuing student may change their catalogue year back under the following conditions:
- They were enrolled at UNCW during that catalogue year,
- Their catalogue year has not expired, and
- The major they want to declare existed in that catalogue year.
