Robin Post

Robin Post specializes in Acting, Voice, Movement, Devising and Community Engagement Theatre. She joins the Theatre Department at UNCW from The Ohio State University (OSU) where she founded and directed InterACT, a community engagement theatre program whose mission it is to devise and perform interactive theatre with socially conscious content. She was the director of the empirical longitudinal research study, Shakespeare and Autism, a component of OSU's partnership with The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). In addition to offering students training in the fundamentals of acting and community engagement theatre, she plans to establish the Shakespeare & Autism and the InterACT programming at UNCW.

Robin recently performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company at The Other Place Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon with a cast comprised of RSC and OSU actors. The cast was joined by children on the autism spectrum during each performance where they performed an adaptation of The Tempest. Robin co-led the OSU MFA production In Here Out There, a theatrical response to the Shakespeare and Autism research and continues to document this research. Robin's research was recently published and translated into Chinese for the journal Eperformance in June of 2015 and she provided the forward for Shakespeare's Heartbeat: Drama games for children with autism, by Kelly Hunter, published in January of 2015.
