Kindertransport dramatizes the life story of Eva, a fictional version of one of the 10,000 Jewish children sent by their parents in Nazi Germany to be raised in England just before World War II. We witness how Eva grows up, adjusts to her new life, and deals with the legacy of trauma in her family. This intense play, which has been called “a powerful contribution to Holocaust literature,” is both an historical excavation and a profound examination of mother-daughter relationships.
