UNCW Theatre Presents Tribes

In Tribes, Billy, who is deaf, is the only one who actually listens in his idiosyncratic, fiercely argumentative bohemian family. But when he meets Sylvia, who is going deaf, he decides he finally wants to be heard. With excoriating dialogue and sharp, compassionate insights, Nina Raine crafts a penetrating play about belonging, family and the limitations of communication.

Tribes will run at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Performances will take place March 22-25 in the SRO Theatre in the UNCW Cultural Arts Building. Tickets are $10 for members of the general public and $3 for students (sales tax included.) They are available at the door one hour before the show on show dates. Cash or check only.
