Time Sensitive - DocuSign at UNCW

We are happy to announce that UNCW has acquired an enterprise license for the DocuSign eSignature platform. This easily accessible eSignature solution helps build approval work flows and lessens paper use, all while offering a quick and easy way to send, receive, sign and store important documents.

You may be familiar with DocuSign, as our campus has begun utilizing the tool to safely obtain signatures electronically without face to face interactions, for student liability forms, campus partner waivers and human resource documents. With the DocuSign enterprise-wide implementation, we are pleased to enable Single Sign On (SSO) so that DocuSign may be easily accessed with your UNCW credentials.

Important Time Sensitive Info about DocuSign Personal Accounts

If you previously signed up for a free personal DocuSign account using your UNCW email address, you are now required to login with your UNCW credentials. These free accounts will only be available until September 30, 2020. While your personal documents will be accessible until this time, you should print or download and save them to a storage device before September 30, 2020. For instructions on how to download and print your DocuSign content please visit this guide. After this time period, personal DocuSign accounts associated with your UNCW email address will be closed.

As a reminder, personal business should not be conducted using UNCW's implementation of DocuSign or a UNCW email account ID.

*Please note: UNCW departments who are currently using DocuSign for UNCW business will not be affected by this change.

How to Get Set Up for using DocuSign

While many of our departments have begun using DocuSign for COVID-related communication, general availability for faculty and staff will begin September 1, 2020. At that time, you may request a DocuSign account by submitting a service request. You will also be guided through the necessary online orientation and compliance attestation in order to use the tool.

We hope DocuSign will be beneficial to our campus community. For more information, please see our knowledge base articles. Or you may LIVE CHAT with the TAC from their home page at uncw.edu/tac.
