This online program provides leadership essentials for new and aspiring nurse leaders to take on jobs such as Nurse Manager, Administrative Coordinator, and Coordinator through an excellent e-learning experience. Participants go through the 10 modules in a cohort over five weeks. You need to devote three hours a week to the course. 

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • identify 3-5 leadership concepts in healthcare leadership
  • demonstrate improved skills in managing self and others
  • analyze organizational checks and balances in healthcare

This interactive leadership development experience will engage participants in videos, online discussions, and self-assessments. Highlights include participating in a course-long case study on fictional Swain Hospital located in a rural part of Southeastern NC.

This program is designed for:

  • new nurse leaders
  • nurses who aspire to be front line managers
  • nurses in rural healthcare settings

Seven experts from business, nursing, and healthcare will facilitate the program:
