Requirements for joining SGA:

  • All members of the Student Government Association must maintain a current or cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Members are not allowed to currently be on probation and must not have been deemed ineligible to run or be appointed to office by legislative decree.
  • If a member is terminated or asked to resign due to excessive absences, then he/she shall not be able to be appointed to the SGA Body for one (1) academic year. The Student Body Vice President shall keep a record of resignations that must be passed to the successor.

Duties of a SGA Member:

  • All Senators of the Student Government Association must serve on at least one (1) legislative or executive committee during their term.
  • All Senators must also serve a minimum of two (2) office hours per week.
  • All Senators must do a minimum of three (3) approved community service hours per semester.
