Welcome to Tutoring Services where we offer... everything else (tutoring for courses not covered by other ULC services)! Tutoring Services is the place to get content tutoring by appointment for a variety of UNCW courses. We help you with test prep, study habits, deciphering Canvas pages and lesson plans, whatever you need to make the most of your academic career.

Our tutoring practice integrates what to study with how to study. Students become independent learners and develop new academic skills that transfer to other courses.

Currently Covered Courses

Tutoring Services provides academic support by appointment for a variety of UNCW courses. Check which courses we currently have tutors for below.

Many STEM courses are covered by drop-in services, so if you don't see your course here, be sure to check whether it is covered by the STEM Lab, Study Sessions, or Supplemental Instruction!

If you still do not find your course, please use our online appointment system or call or email us to request a tutor - this helps us and your fellow students!

Types of Tutoring Available

Individual

Most Tutoring Services sessions are one-on-one with the tutor. Appointments are available online or in-person. 

Small Group

Small group (2 or 3 students) sessions are sometimes necessary and are based on demand. Small group sessions can be requested. Appointments are available online or in-person.

 

Tutor Certification

All tutors achieve (or are in the process of achieving) certification through our training program, which in turn holds International Tutor Training Program Certification through the College Reading & Learning Association.

Services are only available during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, when on-campus classes are in session; limited hours during exams
