There’s no better way to mark Cybersecurity Awareness Month than by joining a quiz competition that pits universities from across the state in fun, friendly rivalry while raising cybersecurity awareness!

This year, UNCW is competing in the second-annual Cyber Bowl for the first time! From Oct. 1 to 31, campuses across the state will compete to see who is the most cyber-savvy. Starting Oct. 1, students, faculty and staff can earn points for UNCW simply by completing the Cyber Bowl quiz.

Why Play Cyber Bowl?

Cyber Bowl is all about trying your best, learning and teamwork. Your participation is what matters most, as every person who completes the quiz earns points for our team. Explore the questions and enjoy learning new cybersecurity skills as you go.

The team with the highest score will win the championship and ultimate bragging rights! Plus, every player who completes their quiz will be entered into a prize draw. So Seahawks, take the Cyber Bowl quiz starting Oct. 1 and help us climb the leaderboard!

How to Play

Starting Oct. 1:

  • Take the quiz (the link will be live on Oct. 1.).
  • Choose "UNCW" from the list of Universities (we should appear fourth).
  • If prompted, log in with your UNCW username and password.
  • Complete the quiz.
  • Encourage your friends and colleagues to play.

Checking Scores:

You can keep track of how UNCW is doing by visiting the Cyber Bowl Website (hosted by NC State). There you can check out the live scoreboard and see how our team stacks up!

  • Elizabeth City State
  • NC State
  • NC A&T
  • UNC Chapel Hill
  • Winston-Salem State
