Sustainability initiatives and policies are stronger when a stakeholder's ideas and voice is considered. The Office of Sustainability prioritizes its work through collaborative synergies across campus.
The Sustainability Advisory Board & the Sustainability Connections forum meet quarterly, and the input and feedback gathered from these groups help steer and design sustainable policies and projects that help to make UNCW a stronger and more resilient campus.
The Sustainability Advisory Board helps facilitate projects and initiatives that support the mission and goals of the Office of Sustainability. These programs further the mission of sustainability in all aspects of the university's institutional culture, including operations, activities, academic programs, and community relationships. These voting members represent all areas of campus and guide the Office of Sustainability in funding decisions, policy creation, and student initiatives.

The Sustainability Connection is a quarterly forum designed to educate and engage students, faculty, staff, and community members on the latest sustainability initiatives on campus. Join us to learn, collaborate, and forge meaningful partnerships that drive our campus towards a greener future. The entire campus community is invited along with community members who are interested in sustainability at UNCW.
Join us September 18, 2024 3 - 4:00pm in the Azalea Coast Room A
Sustainability can be seen across campus. When you see our leaf on a sign or incorporated into a logo, you know it is a sustainable initiative. Any department or organization can request a leaf for any program, project, or research involving sustainability!
