Startup EQ

Welcome to Startup EQ where we prepare entrepreneurs for the road ahead. 

In this course we will give you the skills and tools to find balance and resilience on your path to running a business.  In these six modules, we will explore:

• The lifecycle of organizations on the way to achieving their vision
• How to manage the reaction pattern to growth and change
• Self awareness and self-management skills that result in the calm confidence required to be an entrepreneur
• A communication tool to enhance effective decision-making and problem-solving
• How to integrate all of the tools into everyday healthy conversations
• How to include positive energy rituals into your daily routine to maintain balance and promote wellness.

Startup EQ is designed in a hybrid format so you can learn through microlessons at a time that's most convenient for you. You'll also come together with your group periodically to reflect upon the content and to determine how to apply it in your #startuplife.

In Fall 2023, StartupEQ is being offered in the following format:

• Hybrid learning model
• Six on-demand microlessons
• Social learning community and network
• Guided by executive coaches and facilitators

Startup EQ is about how to maintain and restore your energy.

• Physical
• Emotional
• Mental
• Spiritual

Startup EQ is a limited enrollment cohort-based class. The next class is full and is running from November and through December or January.

If you are a founder, are in the Wilmington region, and are interested in participating in the next Startup EQ, please email cie@uncw.edu.

When available, Interest Forms will be reviewed to form a consistent cohort (class group) based on stage of business (type, age, revenue, number of employees) and location (preference for City of Wilmington-based companies).
