Proof of Graduation

Proof of Graduation can be displayed in several ways. The following items will list a student’s degree information:

  • Unofficial transcript
  • Official transcript
  • Enrollment verification
  • Diploma
  • Degree verification
  • National Student Clearing House

Unofficial & Official Transcripts:

Unofficial and official transcripts will list the student’s degree information ONLY if degrees have been conferred by the Office of the Registrar. Students can view their unofficial transcripts and order official transcripts in SeaNet.

Enrollment Verifications:

Enrollment verifications are available to current and former students through SeaNet. After signing on, follow the links to "Student Services & Financial Aid" and then to "Student Records." Additionally, enrollment verifications (or certification letters) may also be obtained, in person with a photo ID, in the Office of the Registrar.

Degree Verification:

Degree verifications are typically available approximately one month after the last day of exams for a graduating semester (fall, spring, and summer session II).
If you are a current University of North Carolina Wilmington student, a parent, a local business, or a North Carolina State agency, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (910) 962-4202 or Degree verifications can be mailed, faxed, or emailed. However, if a student's record is marked as "Confidential", written authorization from the student is required.
