Office of the Registrar

Message from the Department

The Office of the Registrar at UNCW stands against racism and hate in all forms. We are appalled and outraged by the horrific displays of injustice, violence, and hatred committed against minority communities over many years. Recently, these acts have resulted in the premature deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and too many others to name. These tragedies reflect a longstanding and entrenched history of structural and systemic injustice, oppression, discrimination, and violence. The Office of the Registrar is committed to supporting Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color by actively listening, learning, and acting with respect. We stand in solidarity with our communities of color in support of a university, city, country, and world without the systemic racism and social injustices we have witnessed. We declare our commitment to making our department a safe and welcoming environment for all.
