Hongyu Zhang

Asst Professor

Dr. Hongyu Zhang is an Associate Professor of Political Science in the department of Public and International Affairs at UNCW. His research focuses on nuclear proliferation and nonproliferation, nuclear strategy, East Asian security, and Chinese foreign policy. His work has appeared in several leading peer-reviewed journals, such as The Chinese Journal of International Politics, The Nonproliferation Review, Perspectives on Terrorism, Journal of Asian and African Studies, among others. Before joining faculty at UNCW, he taught at the College of William & Mary.
