Manoj Vanajakumari

Associate Professor

Manoj Vanajakumari received his Ph.D. in Management Science from The University of Texas at Dallas. He joined the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 after serving as a faculty member at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on combinatorial optimization in both profit and non-profit supply chains, with the goal of enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency. Dr. Vanajakumari teaches Prescriptive Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His work has been published in leading journals, including Production and Operations Management, Transportation Research Part E, IISE Transactions, Omega, and Annals of Operations Research. He has published case studies in Ivey Case Journal. His research has practical applications for improving resource allocation, reducing costs, and increasing resilience in supply chain networks across various industries and humanitarian operations.
