As a nurse educator, she aims to create a learner-centered environment to facilitate active, interactive teaching and learning experience. She facilitated courses at RN-BSN, MSN-NE, and DNP programs.
Research Interests
The research concentrates on understanding and managing multimorbidity disorders and geriatric syndromes in older adults to delay functional and cognitive decline and promote healthy, independent aging in the community. In her scholarly research, she use the framework of social determinants of health to understand contributors to health disparities and advance health equity. She uses secondary data, informatics, and analytics to inform health outcomes. Her long-term research goal includes developing informatics technology to manage multiple multimorbidity and symptoms, improve clinical outcomes, and advance health equity.
