Robert W Ridlon

Visiting Assistant Professor

Professor Ridlon joined UNCW as a visiting faculty member of the Economics and Finance department in Cameron School of Business in Fall 2024. In addition to his faculty position in the Business Economics and Public Policy department at Indiana University Kelley School of Business he has had extensive international academic experience in Korea, China, and Croatia. Building on his diverse non-academic experience and robust academic experience Prof. Ridlon fills the classroom and office with eclectic insights and amusing anecdotes. He enjoys traveling, reading science fiction and 19th century British literature, and competing in sprint triathlons. He is married with four children and two dogs.

Research Interests

Robert's research interests are in contest theory and signaling games and has published in Marketing Science and Southern Economic Journal.
