Meagan Rainock
Assistant Professor
Dr. Meagan Rainock is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at UNC Wilmington. She is experienced in program evaluation, data collection, and statistical analysis. Her research focuses on the intersections of criminology, medical sociology, and racial inequality and identity. She recently published in Society & Mental Health on the criminalization and medicalization of mental illness, as well as in Social Science & Medicine on the role of policy legacies and social context in the prevalence of treatment courts.
