Sam Proffitt teaches undergraduate Principles of Marketing. He is a Ph. D. candidate in marketing at Virginia Tech University with a focus on qualitative methodologies. His research centers on the intersection of artificial intelligence and human communication, with an emphasis on the psychological and behavioral mechanisms that shape trust, credibility, and decision-making in high-stakes contexts. His research contributions include publications in the Journal of Academic Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry Research Case Reports, as well as authorship in the World Handbook on Drowning Treatment.
