Robin A. Post
Associate Professor
Robin Post is an Associate Professor of Performance with the Department of Theatre at The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). Robin specializes in Acting, Voice, Movement, Community Engagement Devised work, Staged Intimacy Direction and a program called Shakespeare and Autism. She wrote, produced and performed in a solo piece, "Release the Wild Chicken, a Theatrical Tapestry of Past Trauma, Power, Self-Integration and Embracing the Wild." Post has facilitated performance projects with various communities including the defense council at Camp Lejeune, UNCW's College of Nursing and Wilmington's autism community. While serving as faculty at The Ohio State University, Post directed a longitudinal research study of UK Director/actress, Kelly Hunter's, "Hunter Heartbeat Method" which led to the development of the Shakespeare and Autism programming and professional productions with children and young adults on the autism spectrum. In addition to creating programming specific to Shakespeare and Autism, Post performed at the Royal Shakespeare Company, in an adaptation of The Tempest, directed by Hunter, in 2014. During the summer of 2022 and 2023, Post produced a semi-professional production of The Tempest, for and with children from the Wilmington Community, on the autism spectrum.
