Annemarie K. Petroff

Lecturer

Ms. Annemarie Petroff has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research industry, where she's worked across varied roles including research coordinator, Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and Global Project Manager. Most of her experience has been focused on the cardio-pulmonary, metabolic and infectious disease therapeutic areas. Ms. Petroff utilized her expertise as a change manager for corporate learning and performance optimization, transforming PPD’s online/virtual training offerings while supporting strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Petroff was responsible for planning and executing PPD’s first-ever virtual investigator meeting.

Ms. Petroff joined UNCW in 2017 and currently serves as the UNCW Clinical Research Undergraduate Program Coordinator and is an instructor in both the B.S. and M.S. programs.

She's a loud laugher, Olympic lover, athlete, artist, makeup teacher, and believes that the CLR program is the true hidden gem at UNCW. She is also a self-development junkie and especially loves Clifton's StrengthsFinder and the Enneagram personality tests. She believes that everyone's strengths are their superpower and is delighted to have incorporated Clifton's Strengths' into the undergraduate curriculum to support students as they embark on resume building and practice interviewing. Ms. Petroff loves seeing her student's participating in life outside of the university and volunteering to make a difference in their community. Look for her and her family cheering for the 'Hawks at UNCW basketball games.

Education

Ms. Petroff received her Bachelor’s in Fitness Management and Physical Education Studies from the University of Delaware.
Ms. Petroff earned her Masters of Science in Cardiac Rehabilitation from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.
