Abigail S Perry

Lecturer

Abby Spangel Perry is an artist and educator whose work explores the often complex relationship between humans and the environment. Raised in southern Pennsylvania, she earned both her BFA and MFA in Painting with honors from East Carolina University. Her award-winning paintings, drawings, and found-object sculptures have been exhibited nationally, and her work is included in the collection of the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC. Perry brings her professional experience as an artist and arts administrator into the classroom, helping students develop technical skills, conceptual understanding, and an awareness of art’s broader cultural and societal roles. She guides students in cultivating their creative voice and understanding how art can serve as an intersection between personal expression and social discourse.
