Research Interests

Dr. Norman investigates how people perceive, maintain, and form social group memberships. Her research seeks to understand the ways in which our identities and social connections impact how we navigate and interact with our world. She has specializations in multilevel modeling of social dynamics, psychometric scale development, and experimental/longitudinal research. Her teaching and research intersect to study student engagement in STEM education and she currently serves as an instructor for PSY 225/555/557.
