Rosalva Mendoza

Rosalva Mendoza is an accomplished Administrative Specialist. With a robust background in organizational tasks and customer relations, she excels in reception duties, public contact, and maintaining confidentiality. Rosalva is known for her exceptional interpersonal skills and her commitment to inclusivity, ensuring a positive experience for all. She adeptly applies policies and procedures to ensure efficient departmental operations.

As an entrepreneur, Rosalva became involved with Wilmington’s entrepreneurial ecosystem when she co-founded Bixli, a consulting agency that assists clients nationwide in optimizing their online presence and business success. Introduced to the UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) by a business advisor, she first joined CIE as a volunteer for the Mentor Program. The CIE's mission resonated deeply with her, and when the opportunity to join the team arose, she embraced the chance to be part of this vibrant community.

Previously, Rosalva served as the Activities Director at a global nonprofit’s congregate living facility in Fishkill, NY, where she enhanced resident engagement and quality of life through innovative strategies. As an Executive Assistant in New York, NY, she managed administrative tasks for a private attorney. Rosalva supported efficient office operations and demonstrated reliability and discretion in handling sensitive legal documents.

Rosalva holds a deep commitment to community engagement, actively participating in various initiatives. She leverages her bilingual skills to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking professionals and promote inclusivity.
