Andrew J. Mauk

Associate Provost

Andy serves as the Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Planning, a role in which he's been since 2016. He oversees three functional sub-units within IRP: Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research & Analytics, and Space Planning & Management, all of which exist to provide official data and analysis to institutional stakeholders, state and federal governmental agencies, while also coordinating efforts to ensure data are used to inform university strategic decisions. He co-chairs the UNCW Data Governance program with the UNCW Chief Information Officer providing oversight and leadership in the development of the institution's Enterprise Data Warehouse and ensuring data integrity and validity for campus. He also serves as the Institutional Accreditation Liaison whereby he's successfully lead UNCW through the SACSCOC Reaffirmation in 2023 with no findings. He joined UNCW in 2011 as the Director of Assessment, Research, and Planning for the Division of Student Affairs. He is married to Reagan, a K-12 educator in New Hanover County Schools, and has two young adult children, Nyx and Jackson.
