Ezgi Mahnken

Ezgi holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University and has been an academic advisor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) since 2022. Currently, she serves as the Academic Advising Coordinator for the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts Academic Resource Center. In this role, she oversees advising processes for several departments and primarily advises graduate students in the MA Integrated Marketing Communication program, as well as undergraduate students majoring in Communication Studies, Creative Writing, and Digital Arts.
Before joining UNCW, Ezgi spent three years as an academic advisor at Cape Fear Community College, where she focused on assisting transfer students. She moved to Wilmington from Long Island, New York, in 2018 and discovered her passion for higher education, particularly in guiding students toward achieving their personal, educational, and career aspirations.
Ezgi finds academic advising deeply rewarding, as it allows her to support students in their growth and development while helping them create meaningful and purposeful educational plans.
