Jean N. Gordon
Assistant Professor
Dr Jean Gordon, RN earned her BS in Nursing from the University of Miami in 1974, returning to advance her education as an adult she earned her MS in HRM from Nova Southeastern University in 1997 and completed her Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern in 1999. She has earned specializations at the Doctorate level in Human Resource Management, Marketing and Research Methods and in early 2010 completed a Masters of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University and a Masters of Business Administration in 2015 with a specialization in Accounting and a Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She has worked extensively in upper management in Marketing, Accounting and Human Resource Management in both the domestic and global environments. She is published extensively in the areas of Human Resource Management, Talent Strategy for Retention and Knowledge Management and is active in local and national professional associations of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE), Academy of Management (AOM), and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA).

Dr. Gordon investigates how leadership practices, quality improvement models, and technological innovations—such as artificial intelligence—can be leveraged to improve patient outcomes, staff retention, and operational efficiency. She is also deeply engaged in healthcare education, curriculum design, and faculty development, aiming to prepare future healthcare leaders to navigate complex systems while upholding ethical and stakeholder-centered management principles.
