Daniel M. Fisher
Assistant Professor
Dan Fisher earned a B.S. in Zoology (Pre-med) from Brigham Young University, an MHA from the University of Memphis, and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Sullivan University. With over 15 years of healthcare industry experience in front-line and various leadership positions, Dr. Fisher has expertise in operations, finance, service delivery, and project management across diverse sectors, including hospital systems, long-term care, home health, and corporate wellness.

B.S. in Zoology with an emphasis in Human Biology, Brigham Young University.
Specialization in Teaching
Dr. Fisher has extensive experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare management, health systems, managed care, health literacy, patient safety and risk management, and healthcare economics, in both traditional classrooms and online learning environments. Committed to innovative pedagogy, Dr. Fisher incorporates gamification strategies — such as educational escape rooms, AI-enhanced assignments, and dynamic, interactive case studies to demystify complex concepts and enhance student engagement.
Research Interests
Addressing innovational inertia in healthcare, exploring systematic, organizational, and individual behaviors, and examining strategies for effective healthcare management and leadership, Dr. Fisher's research aims to enhance access to care, improve quality outcomes, and control costs, ultimately contributing to the development of a more efficient and equitable healthcare system.
