Matthew C. Eshleman

Born in Lima, Peru, Matthew Eshleman grew up in the Lower East Side, NYC, and attended high school in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Duquesne university. He arrived at UNCW in 2007 and has published over twenty articles, primarily on the early philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre. He is currently writing a book on Sartre's magnum opus: Being and Nothingness.
