Kellie M. Duval is a seasoned nursing professional with a background in Adult Health, Critical Care nursing, leadership, and education. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), specializing in pediatric care, where she developed a strong foundation in family-centered practice and age-specific clinical skills. Her dedication to advancing her clinical expertise led her to become a Registered Nurse (RN), working in high-acuity settings including the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she provided complex care to critically ill patients.
Throughout her career, Kellie has held several leadership roles, including Clinical Coordinator, Assistant Nurse Manager, and Lead Preceptor. In these positions, she demonstrated a commitment to team development, quality improvement, and mentoring new nurses, helping to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Kellie earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education and now serves full-time as a Clinical Instructor. She brings her extensive hands-on experience and leadership background into the academic setting, preparing nursing students to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Her teaching emphasizes clinical judgment, health assessment, and communication, especially in the critical care environment.
