Research Interests
We study protein structure and function using X-ray crystallography, enzymology, and computational simulations. Our research focuses on metabolic enzymes and their “part-time jobs” - alternative roles they perform through interactions with other proteins - in the context of breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, where cellular signaling networks can become dysregulated. Proteins are fascinating molecules, and we are curious about their structures, dynamics, and interactions within key signaling pathways, aiming to understand how to modulate their functions and restore normal cellular regulation.
