Jeffrey W. Cummings
Professor
Jeff Cummings is a Professor in the Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems within the Cameron School of Business. He has been teaching for 12 years in a variety of program offered at UNCW including the undergraduate programs in Cybersecurity, Information Technology and Information Systems. He also actively involved in graduate programs including the Masters in Business Analytics and Masters in Computer Science and Information Systems.
His teaching interests include programming languages, analytics, and information security. He has taught a number of courses including Visual Basic, Device Development, Information Security and Networking. He continues to develop professionally through course development and participation in various R and educational conferences throughout the country.
Research interests include pedagogical research, information security/privacy, and organizational social media use both internally and externally. His research has appeared in a variety of academic publications including Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems and IEEE.
