Kirk W. Brown
Associate Professor
Dr. Kirk Brown serves as an Associate Professor and is a key faculty member in the Graduate Athletic Training Program. He played a pivotal role in the establishment and coordination of the Undergraduate Athletic Training Program from 2000 to 2018. With extensive professional experience, Dr. Brown has held significant positions in the National Football League (NFL), at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado, and in the professional rodeo circuit.

PhD in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education with Emphasis in Curriculum Instruction and Design, Virginia Tech University.
MS in Athletic Training, Ohio University
BS in Physical Education and Athletic Training, Seattle Pacific University
Specialization in Teaching
Assessment of orthopedic athletic injuries, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, and pedagogy in higher education.
Research Interests
Dr. Brown's research interests encompass curriculum development and instructional design, the assessment of athletic injuries in adolescents, and the evaluation of students with learning disabilities.
