Marlo J Brooks

As Assistant Dean for Administration and Resource Management, Marlo leads the Business Core Service Team in overseeing all business affairs for the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) including financial transactions and budgeting, HR, operations, events planning, space utilization and lab management. She is a member of the CHHS Leadership team and leads strategic planning for the college.

Marlo has worked in higher education leadership roles for the last 16 years. Prior to joining the College of Health and Human Services at UNCW, she was the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration for 13 years at the College of Art and Design at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During her time there, she served as project manager for a $55 million capital project to build a new College of Art and Design on Lesley's main campus; rolled out zero-based budgeting; and helped launch the new Community Engagement office. Before moving into the academic realm, Marlo worked as a portfolio manager in Boston's financial district.
