Brenda is a dedicated administrative professional and a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. She brings a strong background in community engagement and organizational coordination, having previously served as a Program Coordinator for a non-profit organization, where she worked closely with children, families, community partners, and volunteer groups.
Currently, Brenda serves as an Administrative Specialist in the School of Nursing at the College of Health and Human Services, where she plays a vital role in supporting the school’s operational excellence. Her responsibilities encompass a broad range of administrative functions, including purchasing, travel, and clinical faculty compliance tracking. She is proficient in multiple data systems and ensures the timely and accurate processing of purchasing requests.
Brenda also manages travel arrangements and expense submissions for faculty, staff, and leadership, maintaining detailed tracking systems that promote transparency and accountability. She contributes to the planning and execution of School events, supports faculty onboarding and interview processes, and provides essential administrative support for the School of Nursing Faculty Council meetings, including minute-taking and logistics coordination.
