Online Education

Prospective Students

Admissions

To begin your journey into online learning, you need to first be admitted to UNCW. Visit the admissions page and select the student category in which you fall into from the left menu.

Advising

Academic advising is performed at the departmental level. Please contact the program coordinator or department chair to inquire about how advising takes place.

Financial Aid Resources

Detailed information on financial aid is available through UNCW's Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid website.

The following link on the financial aid webpage will provide you with a tutorial and valuable information to assist you in applying for financial aid through SeaNet.

Scholarship Information

Scholarships are a financial resource for students that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships may be awarded to a student through an application process, but some students are selected solely on university records with no application. Scholarships may be offered from a variety of different sources including the university's many departments, outside agencies, and state agencies.

If applying for a scholarship requiring financial need, the student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

You've Been Accepted, Now What?

Once you have been notified of acceptance to UNCW, you can register for classes. Prior to beginning classes, all online students will be required to attend a virtual orientation.
