200 Students Celebrate Dr. Seuss, Reading at WCE

Students in Kathy Fox’s Children’s Literature class hosted a series of events the week of March 2 to celebrate Read Across America, a week-long national observance of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Jasmine Gaston Introduces Engineering at D.C. Virgo

For seven weeks in January and February, UNCW’s K-12 Engineering Coordinator Jasmine Gaston visited D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy to teach middle school students about circuits and coding through an engineering outreach program she designed. MarineQuest Brings Environmental Education to the Children’s Hospital

MarineQuest’s Harris Muhlstein and Morgan Walker brought an environmental outreach program to patients at the North Carolina Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill on February 20. During the visit, arranged in partnership with Wonder Connection, children explored components of the salt marsh and measured the salinity and density of water. more...
