K-12 Educators Invited to Participate in Diabetes Survey

Thursday, December 01, 2022

UNCW’s College of Health and Human Services is conducting a survey to determine K-12 educators’ knowledge of the early warning signs of Type-1 Diabetes, a diagnosis that often occurs during the K-12 years.

Alexander McDaniel and honors student Emily Anderson are leading the research. Dr. McDaniel is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences (SHAHS) in UNCW’s College of Health and Human Services. Their goal is to learn more about educators’ knowledge of Type-1 Diabetes and the training teachers receive with respect to early detection and accommodations needed for Type-1 Diabetic students.

We hope you will consider participating in this important research by completing the brief survey below. Responses are anonymous and will be accepted through mid-March.
