Saturday, May 08, 2021

UNCW’s Watson College of Education introduced a doctoral program in Educational Leadership and Administration in 2007 to create leaders with the knowledge and skills to help educators enhance the learning and lives of children. The first cohort of 13 students graduated in 2010.

The Ed.D. program now includes specializations in educational administration, curriculum and instruction and higher education; WCE’s Ed.D. alumni now number 155 including 14 May 2021 graduates; and 115 education leaders are currently enrolled in the program.

The Watson College is pleased to share a new Seahawk Stories video about the Ed.D. program. WCE Professor Michele Parker and Edie Skipper, Principal, Southeast Area Technical High School (SEA-Tech) and a four-time UNCW graduate, are featured in the video, first shown on WWAY on May 20.
