WCE to Introduce Multimedia Certificate Program

Monday, January 08, 2018

The Watson College will introduce a Multimedia and Instructional Web Development Certificate in fall 2018. The 18 credit-hour program is designed for professionals interested in the development of interactive, digital content for use on multiple devices and media platforms.

“With the advancement of technology, many professionals need a broader knowledge of multimedia design principles and development skills,” said Ray Pastore, associate professor and coordinator of WCE’s Instructional Technology programs. “This certificate program is designed for K-12 educators, corporate trainers, communication professionals and others responsible for online learning, mobile and web marketing, social media and other forms of digital content. The program will introduce them to the latest authoring and publishing tools and web programming technologies.”

The Multimedia and Instructional Web Development Certificate expands WCE’s family of Instructional Technology programs that include a Master of Science in Instructional Technology (MIT), a post-baccalaureate Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate and a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning.

UNCW’s Graduate School is currently accepting summer and fall applications for all graduate programs offered by the Watson College. Program deadlines vary so visit the website for details.
