WCE Introduces ‘Watson Wednesdays’ to promote the College, Teaching Profession

Sunday, March 05, 2017

Teal has been the official color of UNCW since 1995 and students, faculty and staff have a long-standing tradition of showing support for the university by wearing teal on Tuesdays.

Now Watson Wednesdays follows Teal Tuesdays!

WCE’s new campaign is designed to promote the college and celebrate the teaching profession through T-shirts and social media. In March, more than 500 students, alumni, faculty and staff took the Watson Wednesdays Challenge, pledging support for the #WatsonWednesdays initiative.

Look for Watson T-shirts on campus and in the community, and share photos with us! Use hashtag #WatsonWednesdays and #ItBeginsWithTeachers and tag WCE on Twitter at @UNCWWatsonEd, Facebook at UNCW Watson College of Education and Instagram @uncwwatson.

If you would like be part of the Watson Wednesdays initiative to promote the Watson College and the teaching profession, the Watson College would like to hear from you! Post a comment on Watson’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages, or contact Susan Finley at finleys@uncw.edu.
