Watson Student Leaders Support Recruitment Efforts

In 2013, the Watson College introduced a Watson Student Leader (WSL) program for enthusiastic students who are passionate about the teaching profession. The role of WSLs is to serve as ambassadors and represent the Watson College through leadership, professionalism and service.

Watson Student Leaders Support Recruitment EffortsDuring the fall and spring semesters, Watson Student Leaders assist Amy Rottmann, WCE director of student engagement and recruitment and WSL faculty advisor, with a series of recruitment events. WSLs attended the UNCW Involvement Carnival on campus Aug. 27 and welcomed prospective students to campus for Seahawk Saturday on Sept. 20. They will also speak in UNI classes, visit high schools, provide campus tours, serve on student panels and welcome visitors to events hosted by the college.
