When submitting a TAC ticket for a new webpage or a component for an existing page, content managers are asked to provide all necessary text and images.
Providing this information as part of the initial request streamlines the process, reduces the number of questions and ensures there are no blank or incomplete pages or components on the university site.
Other questions content managers will be asked include:
- What is your preferred name for the page/component?
- What is your goal for the page/component?
- Do you own the content?
- Does the content exist elsewhere on uncw.edu, in the catalogue or archived uncw.edu site?
- How frequently will content be updated?
- If requesting a component, what will it link to?
The web team asks that content managers provide that information when submitting their initial request for a new page or component. If not, they will receive a follow-up email requesting those details.
