Anay Soto-Gomez ’24 spoke only Spanish for the first five years of her life. She was frightened and overwhelmed when she started elementary school, where English was the norm. Her journey to becoming a teacher was driven by the desire to ease the burden of children who struggle to find a sense of belonging. Soto-Gomez hopes to inspire students to see themselves in her story.
