Important update regarding State Health Plan premiums for 2026

At their meeting on August 15, 2025, the State Health Plan Board of Trustees approved changes to the monthly premiums employees pay for coverage.   Monthly premiums will be based on the employee’s salary and the plan and coverage they select. The new rates go into effect January 1, 2026.  Salary-based premiums will not apply to retired members. The chart below includes the cost difference between the 2025 and 2026 monthly premium rates.
