New DC Virgo Video Celebrates a Love of Learning

The Watson College is pleased to share a new video highlighting D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy. Featuring school leaders, teachers, community members, parents and students, the video celebrates the spirit of D.C. Virgo — a community school rooted in a strong legacy, a love of learning and a deep care for one another.

The video was produced by UNCW’s media production team in collaboration with D.C. Virgo and the Watson College of Education.

For nearly 60 years, D.C. Virgo has educated students, supported area families and helped strengthen Wilmington’s Northside community. In 2018, the school became a UNCW partner school, working closely with the Watson College of Education to enhance student learning and provide high-quality preparation for teachers and principals. Enrollment is now open for students entering kindergarten for the 2026-27 academic year. Applications for students in grades K–8 are accepted year-round.
