Regional Eggs & Issues Breakfast – June 14

Each year, The Public School Forum of North Carolina gathers hundreds of business, education and government leaders in Raleigh to discuss the most pressing education issues facing North Carolina that will drive policy debate in the upcoming legislative session. The annual Eggs & Issues Breakfast also debuts the Public School Forum’s Top Education Issues.

The Watson College of Education, in partnership with The Public School Forum of North Carolina and the Educators of Color Network will host a Regional Eggs & Issues Breakfast. The event is free and open to the public:

PK-12 STEM Education Conference – June 20

WCE’s Center for Education in Science, Tech, Engineering & Math (CESTEM) will host a PK-12 STEM Education Conference in June: STEM Without Boundaries: Explore the Possibilities. Join them for an exciting STEM-infused professional development and networking opportunity!

Workforce Learning & Development Virtual Information Session – June 26

UNCW is now accepting applications for a new Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Learning & Development, which begins Fall 2024. The program is designed for military service members, veterans and mid-career professionals in the skilled trades who are looking to advance their career or complete a degree. Join us for a virtual Information Session to learn more!

Wednesday, June 26 at 3 p.m. Register Today!

During the virtual session, faculty members David Wells and Lou Bon-Ami and recruiter Dean Heath will discuss career pathways in workforce development, provide information on course offerings, explain how technical training and military experience can count for credit toward the degree and more. They will also be available to answer your questions.
