Educators of Color Network Meeting – May 16

The Educators of Color Network is a school-university partnership initiative created to help build a more diverse teacher workforce in North Carolina. The group is comprised of current and retired P-12 teachers and school leaders, university faculty and students who work collaboratively to envision and facilitate activities to recruit and retain teachers of color and to advocate for the teaching profession.

More than 150 educators from across the state are participating in the EOC Network.

The group hosts two meetings each semester, and shares news, events and information related to building a more diverse teacher workforce. In addition, EOC work groups meet throughout the year to plan and implement initiatives related to the Network’s three core areas of focus: recruitment, retention and advocacy.

The next meeting will be held on Ma7 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at UNCW’s Watson College of Education.

If you are interested in participating in the EOC Network, please complete their brief Member Survey. You will be added to the listserv which will provide information and registration details about upcoming meetings in subsequent emails.
