Chancellor Volety Appointed to AASCU Board of Directors

Chancellor Aswani K. Volety has been appointed to the Board of Directors at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), a Washington, D.C.-based higher education association that represents the sector of over 500 regional public colleges, universities and systems. AASCU members share a learning- and teaching-centered culture, a historic commitment to student populations, and a dedication to research and creativity that advances their regions’ economic progress and cultural development. 

“I am honored to join the AASCU Board of Directors and to help advance the mission we share as regional public institutions,” said Chancellor Volety. “AASCU members play a vital role in expanding access, fostering innovation and strengthening the communities we serve. I look forward to working alongside colleagues across the country to support student success and drive meaningful impact.” 

Volety was among four new appointees and five new members elected to the AASCU Board.
