UNCW Continues to Celebrate Family Weekend, Watch Tropical Weather

Dear Campus Community,  
 
While students, parents and families enjoy Family Weekend, campus officials continue to maintain a close watch over tropical weather conditions. Based on guidance from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, it is still too soon to determine storm tracks and potential local impacts.  
 
The university will keep watch and send an update by 12 p.m. (noon), Sunday, Sept. 28 unless conditions warrant earlier outreach. Please monitor your UNCW inboxes, text messages, UNCW Mobile app, SafeZone app and the UNCW Alert website for information.  
 
We already moved some Family Weekend activities indoors in case of rain and wind caused by a cold front unrelated to the tropical weather in the Atlantic. Please monitor the Family Weekend website for additional scheduling updates.
